Boil 3 large sweet potatoes. When they are soft peel them with a fork. Cook your sugar like when you make candy.

3 c. sugar
1 c. water

Cook for 20 minutes. To start boil on a high fire, to see when done, drop a little of sugar in a little water. When the sugar stays in a ball it is done. Pour the sugar over the mashed potatoes. Put in one cup of pecans to potatoes. Add a little cinnamon.
