BUNJI CORD BEEFY JERKY (BEEF
JERKY)
 
1 flank steak (1-2 lbs.), $4.00-$5.00 worth
Salt
Pepper
Optional seasonings: onion salt, paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper
1 box round toothpicks
Aluminum foil

Slice meat lengthways in strips 1/8 inch thick. Spread sheet of aluminum foil approximately 2 feet in length on counter top (save for later use). Sprinkle seasonings to be used on foil. Stir together then spread on foil. Roll or drag strips of meat through spices (spice to personal taste). Skewer each strip of meat with 1 toothpick at either end of strip. Remove lower rack from oven. Set aside. Pull upper rack from oven and suspend strips of meat by toothpick in slots. Replace rack in oven. Place foil sheet on oven bottom (for easier clean-up). Turn oven to lowest possible setting. Close oven door.
