MUSTARD PICKLES 
11 qts. cucumbers, peeled, cut in cubes
6 onions
6 c. red and green peppers (if desired)

Cut up and soak in salt water overnight. Drain. Add:

5 c. vinegar
4 c. sugar

Heat to boil.

Mix:

1 c. flour
6 tbsp. mustard
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. whole spice (celery seed)
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar

Mix until nice and smooth. Add to boiling vinegar and cucumbers. Boil, stir so as not to stick, a couple of minutes, until nice and smooth. Put in caning jars.
