1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup drained, crushed pineapple
2/3 cup chopped nuts
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and mix thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients, pineapple, nuts, and lemon juice. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen cookies.
