POTATOES IN CREAM - Gratin Dauphinois | |
6 potatoes, peeled & sliced very thin 2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. light cream 3 tbsp. butter Arrange layers of potatoes sprinkled with salt, pepper and nutmeg in a buttered baking dish. Pour the cream over the top and dot with butter. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 1 hour, or until the cream is absorbed and the top lightly browned. |
