BANANA BREAD 
1/4 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
3 ripe bananas or enough to equal 1 c. mashed
1 stick butter plus 1 tbsp. for greasing loaf pan
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour, plus 1 tbsp. for flouring loaf pan

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1/4 cup sour cream and 1 teaspoon baking soda, let rise. In another bowl mash bananas. In large bowl, 1 stick butter, add 1 1/4 cups sugar, with mixer on medium speed, beat until light. Add eggs, and vanilla, beat until well mixed. Add 1 1/2 cups flour alternately with bananas with mixer on low speed. Add sour cream mix, fold in. Grease and flour pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Cool for 2 hours.
