HUNTER-STYLE CHICKEN 
1/4 c. salad oil
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 lbs. cut-up chicken
1 green pepper, cut into strips
2 med. onions, quartered
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 can mushroom stems and pieces
Hot cooked spaghetti

Heat salad oil in large skillet over medium heat. Mix flour and 1 teaspoon salt. Coat chicken pieces. Cook chicken in oil 15 to 20 minutes or until brown. Drain fat from skillet. Add green pepper and onions. Mix garlic, tomato sauce, water, 1 teaspoon salt, oregano, pepper, thyme, and mushrooms with liquid. Pour over chicken and heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. Serve with spaghetti. Serves 4-5.
