NANNY'S CHOP SUEY 
1 lb. beef stew meat
3 stalks celery
1 onion
Fresh or canned mushrooms, optional
1 lg. can chop suey vegetables
2 tbsp. bead molasses
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. brown sugar

Cover bottom of Dutch oven with oil. Roll meat in flour and brown in oil. Add water so meat is covered and simmer with lid for 30-45 minutes. Then turn off and add bead molasses, soy sauce, sugar and fresh vegetables. Cook until tender but crisp. Then add drained, canned vegetables. Heat until warm.
