HAMBURGER CHEESE PIE 
1 c. onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. shortening
1 lb. hamburger
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/16 tsp. pepper
3 unbeaten egg yolks
1 c. thick sour cream
2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese

Saute onions in shortening in skillet; add 1 tablespoon flour. Cook until tender. Stir in milk, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Simmer until thick (12 minutes).

Blend egg yolks and cream in large bowl; beat well. Stir 2/3 cup flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Beat egg whites stiff (not dry); fold into yolk mixture.

Pour half the egg mixture into well-greased 9-inch pie pan; top with 1/2 cheese. Bake 10 minutes. Remove; put meat mixture on top. Pour egg mixture. Bake 10- 15 minutes; top with cheese.
