BUTTER FROSTING 
10 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 sticks butter, softened
2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. Crisco shortening
2 tsp. vanilla

Shake together flour and milk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk until thick like paste. Cool completely.

In large bowl combine butter, sugar, Crisco and vanilla until well blended. Add the cooled paste and beat on high for 5 minutes. Frosts 9 inch cake or oblong 9 x 13 inches. Keep refrigerated for best results.
