MEATBALLS SURPRISE 
1 1/2 c. ground beef (3/4 lb.)
1 1/2 tbsp. instant onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 tsp. ginger

Divide the first 6 ingredients into 8 equal portions after combining, then mix cheddar cheese, grated and 1 teaspoon ginger. Divide into 8 equal portions. Roll into 8 balls. Wrap the meat around the cheese balls. Brown over medium heat on all sides. Pour tomato sauce mixture over all and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield: 8 servings.
