SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. Quaker old fashioned oats, uncooked
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 tsp. ginger

Combine ingredients for meatballs; mix well. Shape to form about 30 (1-inch) meatballs. In medium skillet, cook meatballs over medium heat until evenly brown. Remove from skillet; drain.

SAUCE:

20 oz. canned pineapple
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 med. green pepper, cut in 1/2-inch strips

Drain pineapple, reserving juice. In skillet combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in reserved pineapple juice, vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring until thickened. Add meatballs, pineapple and green pepper; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve over cooked rice (optional).
