3 qts. water
3 c. vinegar
3/4 c. canning salt

Place dill in bottom of jar with 1 clove garlic. Pack jars. Place dill on top with 1 1/2 teaspoons of alum. Pour hot water mixture over pickles. Seal and place in canner 20 minutes.
