CHICKEN SUPREME | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. hot sausage 1 (2-3 lb.) chicken, cooked (boiled & cooled) 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 2 cans chicken broth 1 sm. can sliced mushrooms 1 box long grain & wild rice mix Bread crumbs 1 sm. pkg. sliced almonds 1 med. onion, chopped Make meatballs of beef and sausage; brown in fry pan. Take chicken off bones and cut into chunks. Combine mushroom soup, chicken broth, mushrooms and seasonings from wild rice mix, in large saucepan. Add onion. Simmer mixture for 10 minutes. In large 9 x 13 inch casserole, layer meatballs, chicken, rice and sauce. End last layer with sauce. Top with bread crumbs and sliced almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. (Bake covered for 45 minutes and then remove top to brown almonds.) |
