1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. quick cook oatmeal

In large bowl, mix thoroughly, butter, shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoon and flatten with fork. Sprinkle with salt. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet about 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
