GOLDEN HAM PIE 
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. vegetable oil
6 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
10 1/2 oz. can condensed cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
6 strips bacon, fried & crumbled
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. diced ham
1 tbsp. lemon juice

BISCUIT TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. grated cheese
1 chopped pimento
1/2 c. milk

Saute onion and green pepper in vegetable oil. Blend in flour, milk and cream of chicken/mushroom soup. Add bacon and pepper. Bring to a boil; add ham and lemon juice. Top with biscuits and bake for about 20 minutes. (Check to see if biscuits are done!)

Biscuit Topping: Mix flour, baking powder, salt and cut in shortening. Add grated cheese, pimento and milk. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 10 biscuits and roll each biscuit into a ball shape. Place on top of casserole and bake. Biscuits will NOT bake properly if mixture is not boiling hot.
