SPANISH CREAM 
1 env. Knox gelatin (2 tbsp.)
3 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 qt. milk
8 tbsp. sugar

Put milk in double boiler, add gelatin and let dissolve slowly. Beat yolks of eggs. Add 4 tablespoons of sugar, add to milk. Stir until it starts to thicken. (It will coat the spoon when done.) Beat egg whites and add rest of sugar. Pour over hot mixture.
