SOUTHERN TARHEEL PIE 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. pecans
2 tbsp. bourbon
1 (9") unbaked pie shell

Cream butter; gradually add sugar and mix well. Add eggs, corn syrup, salt and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips, pecans and bourbon. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Serve at room temperature with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. You may also freeze this pie after baking.
