1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. fine bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk
Dash pepper

Combine all ingredients. Mix well.

SAUCE:

1/2 env. onion soup mix
1 c. water
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dried oregano

Roll into small balls. 24 per pound. Bake in 350 degree oven about 30 minutes or until done.

Mix all ingredients for sauce. Gently boil sauce uncovered 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened. Add meatballs to sauce and simmer about 20 minutes. Makes 8 sandwiches.
