DOUBLY DELICIOUS - CHOCOLATE
COOKIES
 
1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (6 1/2 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt over hot (not boiling) water 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips; cool to room temperature.

In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Add melted morsels and eggs; beat until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in remaining 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by round measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes.
