CANDY CANE COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter and sugar. Add vanilla, then flour. Separate into 2 equal amounts and add red food coloring to 1/2 of dough. Take 1/2 teaspoon amount of dough from each and roll into balls. Then roll out each to make a long narrow rope of each, and then twist them together and shape into candy cane shapes. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 325°F for about 15 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
