CHECKERBOARD SALAD 
You Need:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. each: red (any flavor), lime, orange and lemon Jell-O
1 pt. sour cream (do not use low-fat or fat-free sour cream)

You will also need three 8 or 9-inch cake or pie pans.

Mix each flavor Jell-O separately with 1 cup boiling water each and pour each flavor into an 8 or 9-inch cake pan or pie pan. Chill until firm. Cut in 1/2-inch cubes. (I cut mine in about 1/4-inch pieces.)

Mix package of LEMON JELL-O with 1 1/2 cups boiling water and chill just until slightly thickened. (WATCH CAREFULLY SO IT DOESN'T GET TOO THICK.) Fold sour cream and cubed Jell-Os into the slightly thickened LEMON Jell-O. (I just mix it all together using the whisk beaters of my hand mixer, LOWEST speed.) Pour into a mold or 13 x 9 x 2 pan or whatever dish you want to serve it in. Chill until firmly set.
