COCONUT BREAD 
1 coconut (or 1 can shredded coconut)
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 stick butter
1/4 c. shortening or lard
1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1 c. water
Vanilla
Nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grate coconut or use shredded coconut in package or can. Add sugar and nutmeg; mix. Add flour, baking powder, water and vanilla. Put into ungreased baking pan and bake until done.
