LASAGNA IN A BUN 
8 Hoagie buns
1/2 lb. ground meat
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 tsp. crushed dried oregano
1/2 env. dry onion soup mix
1/4 tsp. crushed dried basil
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. cream style cottage cheese, drained

Cut a thin slice off top of bun, hollow out centers leaving 1/2 inch thick shell; set aside. Reserve bread crumbs for another use.

In skillet cook meat; drain fat; add tomato sauce, soup mix, and herbs. Cook covered over low heat 5 minutes; uncover and cook 5 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring frequently. In bowl combine egg, cottage cheese, 2 and 1/2 cups Mozzarella cheese. Spoon 1/2 meat mixture in bottom of rolls; on top of meat mixture put cheese mixture; next add remaining meat mixture; top with remaining Mozzarella cheese. Replace bun tops, wrap sandwiches individually in aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
