MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (24 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts (your choice)

This can be halved, but I guarantee you will regret it after eating just one!

Cream together butter, sugars and then add eggs and vanilla mixing well. Mix together the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Mix dry ingredients into butter/sugar mixture. Add chocolate chips and grated chocolate as well as the nuts.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Make golf ball sized cookies and place 2" apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes.

To make flatter cookies, flatten with a spatula after 5 minutes, then bake an additional 3 to 5 minutes. 100 to 115 cookies.
