3 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. butter or shortening
3 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips

Combine flour and soda in bowl; set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients, except chocolate chips. Mix thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and stir. Add chocolate chips. Drop by small spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
