BOTTOM CHOCOLATE CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. nuts
1 1/4 c. boiling water

TOPPING:

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cocoa

Cream together sugar, butter and milk. Add dry ingredients. Pour batter into a long cake pan or baking dish and sprinkle 1/2 cup of nuts over all. Mix together the topping. Sift over the batter, then pour 1 1/4 cups boiling water over batter, but do not stir. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool and turn out. Bottom will be rich chocolate. Serve with whipped cream. May be baked in round cake pans and served wedge shape.
