CRANBERRY FRUIT NUT BREAD 
2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. orange juice
1 well beaten egg
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Add orange juice, egg, shortening, and orange peel to dry ingredients; mix until well blended. Stir in cranberries and nuts.

Turn into a 9"x5" pan, greased on bottom only. Bake 55 to 60 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool thoroughly before serving.
