GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
4 oz. German sweet chocolate
2 3/4 c. cake flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. butter
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 egg yolk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate in double boiler and let cool. Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter and add dry ingredients, milk, vanilla. Add eggs, egg yolk and chocolate. Pour in greased, floured and lined tube pan. Bake 65 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Turn out of pan and remove wax paper. Cool, then frost with Chocolate Glaze.

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

4 oz. German sweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water
1 c. xxx sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate, butter and water in double boiler over low heat. Combine xxx sugar and salt. Gradually add chocolate mix and vanilla. Pour over cooled cake.
