BEEF AND PEA PODS 
1/4 c. Karo dark syrup
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. corn oil
1 lb. round steak, cut in narrow strips
1 sm. onion, cut thin
1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods

Stir together first 4 ingredients and set aside. Heat corn oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add steak; saute until browned. Add vegetables, cover and simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in sauce and bring to a boil, stirring constantly and boil 1 minute. Serve over rice.
