SLIVERED BEEF AND CHINESE PEA
PODS
 
3 tbsp. butter
1 sm. onion, thinly sliced
1 lb. sirloin tip or top round of beef, cut into thin strips
3/4 tsp. seasoned salt
1/8 tsp. minced garlic
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (2.5 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods

Place butter and onion in a round 2 quart glass microwave safe, covered casserole. Microwave for 3 minutes. Add meat and seasonings. Microwave, covered, for 4 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Microwave, covered, for 7 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce is hot. Makes 6 cups. Serve with rice or noodles.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
