NONNIE'S PECAN DIAMONDS 
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour (all purpose), sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder (scant)
1 c. chopped pecans

Blend butter, sugar and eggs; beat well. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together; mix well. Add pecans; mix well. Spread in buttered pan that has been lined with wax paper (13x9x2).

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until light brown and pulling away from sides of pan. Cool 5 minutes. Invert and peel off wax paper. Cut diagonally into diamond shapes.
