BAKED MACARONI & CHEESE 
1 lb. elbow macaroni
1 stick butter
1/4 to 1/2 c. flour
2 c. milk
18 slices processed American cheese

1. Melt butter over low heat. Add enough flour that mixture forms a thick paste. Keep stirring.

2. Add 1/3 of milk and stir constantly over low heat until mixture becomes thick. Stir in next 1/3 of milk, continue stirring until mixture thickens again. Add last 1/3 of milk, stir and remove from heat.

1. Cook macaroni as directed on package. Drain and return to pot.

2. Pour cream sauce over macaroni and mix well.

1. Cover bottom of dish with 6 slices of cheese.

2. Pour half of macaroni mixture over cheese.

3. Add another layer of cheese.

4. Pour remaining macaroni over cheese layer.

5. Top with another layer of cheese.

6. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
