EASY SPLIT PEA SOUP 
leftover ham bone (with some meat left on it)
10 cups water
12 oz. bag split peas
3 large carrots, sliced
2 large celery stalks, sliced
1 sweet Vidalia onion, diced

Put 10 cups of water in large Dutch oven. Cook ham bone in boiling water. Take out ham bone & cut off meat & return to boiling water.

In a separate large pot, boil dry split peas for at least an hour.

When peas are soft, mix with ham meat, diced onion, carrots, & celery. Cook until vegetables are well done.

Serve immediately!

Freeze some in plastic containers. "ENJOY!!!"
