GRANDMA'S CHEW BREAD 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. light brown sugar
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine sugar and eggs in heavy saucepan. Stirring well cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients, stirring mixture well. Spoon mixture into greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into squares.
