ANNIE'S PECAN PIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. meal
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans
2 deep-dish pie shells

Put 1 cup pecans in bottom of each pie shell. Mix all other ingredients well and pour over pecans.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 325°F oven.
