1 lb. bing cherries 1 lb. granulated sugar 1 5th gin or vodka Wash and stem cherries. Do not bruise. Dry on towel. Place in 1/2 gallon empty wine bottle, leave pits in. Pour sugar on top of cherries. Pour booze over that. DO NOT SHAKE OR STIR. Cover, label and store for 3 months. After 3 months, strain and pour into appropriate decanter. | |
