FOUR LAYER DESSERT 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. pecans, chopped (optional)

Mix well, pat into 9x13 pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

LAYER TWO:

8 oz. cream cheese, soft
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. frozen type whipped topping

Mix well and spread on 1st layer. Chill.

LAYER THREE:

2 (3 oz.) pkgs. instant pudding
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
(1 tsp. burnt sugar flavor if using butterscotch pudding)

Beat until thick (2 minutes). Pour over layer two. Chill.

LAYER FOUR:

1-2 c. frozen type whipped topping

Beat slightly and spread over layer 3.

Sprinkle with pecans (or chocolate shavings depending on type of pudding used). Chill. Serves 12.
