SHOO FLY CUPCAKES 
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. butter

Mix first 3 ingredients together. Set aside to cool. Make crumbs from remaining ingredients. Set aside 3/4 cup crumbs, then combine all ingredients. Stir well. Fill cupcakes pan 2/3 full and top each with crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or less. Makes about 2 dozen cupcakes.
