ORANGE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. orange juice
2 tbsp. orange rind
2 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (10 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate

Cream shortening and sugars together. Add the juice and rind. Fold in the flour, soda and salt. Grate the chocolate very finely and add it. Roll into 1 to 1 1/2 inch rolls and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate 4 to 6 hours or overnight. Slice with very sharp knife and bake cookies at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
