CHINESE CABBAGE SALAD 
1 med. cabbage, shredded
2 carrots, shredded
Sm. pkg. almonds, toasted
1 (3 oz.) pkg. beef flavored Ramen oriental noodle soup
1 jar sliced mushrooms
1 sm. can water chestnuts, sliced
1/2 c. oil

Finely break up noodles in package. Mix soup seasonings with oil. Mix with cabbage, carrots, chestnuts, and mushrooms. Chill to blend flavors. About 1 hour before serving, mix in almonds and noodles. Keep refrigerated.
