GRANDMA'S WELSH COOKIES 
4 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. raisins or currants
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs

Sift flour and dry ingredients. Add raisins. Cut in shortening as for pie. Add eggs and milk. Roll out, cut with glass. Fry on griddle at slow heat or bake at 360 degrees on electric skillet, 3 to 4 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
