SALTINE CANDY 
3 c. sugar
1 (5 oz.) evaporated milk
1 stick butter
2/3 c. smooth peanut butter
24 crumbled Saltine crackers
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Bring sugar, milk, and butter to full boil over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add peanut butter, crackers, and vanilla. Stir until well blended and put in buttered 9 x 9 inch square pan. Refrigerate until firm, cut into squares.
