STREUSEL CAKE 
MAIN DOUGH:

18 oz. flour
3/4 oz. fresh yeast
1/2 c. less 1 tbsp. butter
3 1/2 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
Lemon rind of 1 lemon
Dash lemon juice
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 tbsp. butter

Combine flour, yeast, butter, sugar, eggs, lemon rind, lemon juice, butter and beat well. Cover and let rest in warm, draft free place. Once doubled in bulk, roll dough and line a generously-greased oblong baking sheet. Let rise again for a short period of time. Prick the lower crust with a fork and brush with melted butter. Bake.

STREUSEL DOUGH:

1/2 c. less 1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. less 1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. less 1 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. chopped almonds
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine butter, sugar, flour, almonds and cinnamon. Blend until these ingredients crumble. Before sprinkling over cake, refrigerate for short period of time.
