CALIFORNIA CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp. sugar
3 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
4 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream
3/4 c. chopped green onion
1/2 c. sliced black olives
1 (8 oz.) pkg. 1/2-inch wide noodles
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded

In large skillet, combine beef, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Bring to boil; break up meat and cook on simmer for 15 minutes.

Combine cream cheese, sour cream, onions and olives.

Cook noodles as directed. Drain. In a 13 x 8 x 2 pan, pour 1 cup tomato mixture, then place all noodles. Pour remaining tomato mixture. Then pour the cream cheese mixture. Cover with grated Cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Serves 8.
