HAWAIIAN BANANA NUT BREAD 
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
3 sm. ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix in shortening. Add bananas and eggs, mix with spoon, NOT mixer, and only until mixed well. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
