PECAN SANDIES 
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 c. sifted plain flour
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream sugar and butter. Add water and vanilla. Blend in flour and nuts. Chill in refrigerator. Roll like finger steaks and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Let cool slightly. Roll in powdered sugar. Makes about 3 dozen.
