BLACKBERRY JAM CAKE 
1 1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 c. blackberry jam
1 c. buttermilk
2 rounded tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. each - cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved. Add flour and spices and beat well. Makes four 9 inch layers. Bake at 350 degrees. Ice with Caramel Icing between layers and top and sides.
