OVEN BEEF STEW 
3 lbs. beef stew meat (do not brown)
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. cooking sherry or red wine
8 oz. canned mushrooms, undrained
8 oz. can water chestnuts

Bake in Dutch oven covered for 3 hours at 325 degrees. Serve over rice or noodles.
