OVEN BEEF STEW 
2-3 lbs. stewing beef
3 lg. onions, quartered
8 sm. carrots, cut up
4-5 potatoes, cut in chunks
1 lg. green pepper, cut up
1 pt. tomatoes
1 c. peas, with juice
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1/3 c. instant tapioca
1 scant tsp. thyme
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together. Cook covered in a 250 degree oven for 4 hours.
